Exciting new product launch by Sarah McKenna & Rachel Tinniswood

Open Doors, Saturday 9th May 2015. 12pm – 5pm. ALL WELCOME.

A new ceramics range linking our love of the sea from to a modern home setting has been launched by Sarah McKenna. The “into the sea” range features well-known, familiar phrases about the sea. Sarah’s handmade ceramics are produced using vintage wallpaper moulds and hot metal type. This exciting new range will be shown first to those who visit Bridge Street Studios this Saturday.

ALSO New textile work featuring bees, bugs and blooms bringing the summer into our interiors will be launched in Bridge Street Studios this Saturday by Rachel Tinniswood. Rachel has been working in our 250 year old Bridge Street grain store for many years making beautiful textiles to wear and for interiors. “I’m enjoying using Irish Linen paired with pure wool fibres which brings a summer freshness to the work”

Both Rachel and Sarah will be in the studio on Saturday to show you their new designs and shall be offering fantastic discounts on the day.

So come along for a cuppa and a baked treat anytime 12pm – 5pm Saturday

Featured Artist – Mary Cowan

Mary Cowan works on the top floor in Bridge Street Studios. She mainly works in clay however some pieces also incorporates latex rubber, wire, tubing and other interesting found objects.


She has exhibited in Dundalk, Kilkenny, Drogheda and Belfast.

Mary has been working as a Community Arts Facilitator for the past few years working with a wide range of groups including children, young people and adults with special needs and adult survivors of brain injury. Mary has delivered pottery and recreational art classes to Adults at Belfast Metropolitan College and Southern Regional College.

Crafty Kids art summer camp

Our fab fun art summer school is for those kids who draw, paint, build, mould, create and destroy all day. Let them get totally submerged in ART in the most creative arty place in town.

The art camp take place on the top floor of Bridge Street Studios. Each crafty kid spends the day surrounded by the work of 7 professional artists absorbing that creative energy that gets soaked into the 250 year old walls.

AND IT’S FUN hang out with your fellow crafty kids (and a few crafty adults) who get it and want to make all day too!

Crafty Kids art summer school in Bridge Street Studios offer an exciting range of activities including painting, drawing, collage, printing and pottery in a professional artists studio.

While having fun we will focus on skill development, exploring techniques & encouraging individual creativity

9.30am – 2pm Monday – Friday for 6-12 years max of 16 places per week

Week 1 – 7th to 11th July 2014
