Bridge Street Studios is a community of artists and craft people who share a large 250 year old Grainstore in Dundalk town centre. Our members say that it’s more than just a place to work it’s like having some older brothers and sisters who are a few steps ahead to help you on the road as an emerging artist or craftsperson. The Studios where founded in 1996 when a group of ceramic artists needed a space to share a kiln – that 16cu’ electric kiln “Bertha” still stands on the 4th floor where she was hoisted at the birth of Bridge Street Studios.
The fantastic features of our studio setup include 24 hour access, broadband wifi, a classroom space and a gallery showroom area The Gateway Gallery. The studio membership also gives you access to using the studio equipment, 2 electric kilns, slab roller, photography equipment, computer and colour printer. In our (nearly!) 20 year history we have developed a loyal audience in Dundalk and we contact them by social media, email and post about regular group exhibitions and events.
